The Dollar is Still High According to More Than Half of Voters

The depreciation of the Turkish lira against the American dollar peaked at 18 lira. However, the intervention of the economy management stopped the depreciation and the Turkish lira stabilized around 13 lira. In the last month, the Turkish lira was still at the same price range.

Stopping the devaluation of the Turkish lira against the dollar is a success for the government, but voters think the opposite due to feeling the pressure of the depreciation on market prices.

Turkey Monitor asked voters’ opinions about the current price range of dollars against the Turkish lira. 73.8% of voters believe that the dollar is still very high against the Turkish lira while only 7.5 of total participation believe that it is very low.
