The Resignation of Minister of Education: Was He Successful Or Not?

40.7% of voters think that the Minister of Education Ziya Selcuk was successful during his tenure.

The first cabinet of the new presidential system was announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in 2018. The expectation from the new system and ministers were really high since the first announcement. However, the system does not work as expected. Many of the ministers resigned in the last 3 years. This time the Minister of Education, Ziya Selcuk, could not stand the system and resigned.

The reason for the resignation is still unclear. The rumor on resignation is that Ziya Selcuk was uncomfortable with the duality in the management and this duality does not let him do what he wants.

Turkey Monitor asked the voters about the success of the Minister of Education. 40.7% of voters see Selcuk successful during his ministerial career, while 45.0% of them do not. The highest like rate comes from AK Party voters with 60.4%. On the other hand, the last one is from CHP voters with a 21.6% like rate.
