85.2% Of Voters Worry About Afghan Immigration

With the announcement of the US’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Taliban forces offense at the beginning of May. They began to take the control of cities step by step. The offensive movement of the forces ended with the controlling of the capital city, Kabul and the Taliban declared the Islamic Empire of Afghanistan.

The Taliban victory increased the concerns about human rights and immigration. Afghan people who do not support the Taliban, seek alternative ways to get away from the country and the Taliban’s governance. This caused a mass migration movement from Afghanistan to neighboring countries. Turkey is the most critical country that faces mass Afghan migration due to better living standards and also roads to European countries. The news about the mass migration and seeing Afghan migrants in Turkey concern the Turkish community.

Turkey Monitor shows the level of concern of local people on Afghan migration. 85.2% of voters mention that they are worried about the Afghan movement by giving a score of 6 and more than 6. The percentage of voters who do not worry about the Afghan migration by giving a score of 5 and less than 5 is 10.2%.
